Kushano-Sasanians, Peroz I Kushanshah. Circa (AD 245-270). AE Unit.
2gm, 16.1mm. Possibly Balkh mint.
Peroz standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding trident, trident to left / Siva standing facing, holding diadem and trident, before the bull Nandi.
Zeno-358400 (it's me there) / Cribb SI 19, #20 (Bactrian issues), Gobl Kushan 1105-1108 type, Mitchiner ACW 1278. Very fine to extremely fine, Nice greenish earthen finding patina. Choice.
 
 
Note:
The Kushano-sasanians were sasanian princes ruling the old kushan lands in Bactria, the Kabul valley and Gandhara, as sasanian vasalls. Some periods these kushan-shahs were more or less independent, like this ruler, Hormazd I Kushanshah, ruling about AD 295-325 (or 270-295 according to Cribb). Mint for this type might be the Kabul valley.
