standing facing head left sacrificing over altar and holding
trident trident to left / Siva standing facing holding diadem and
trident before the bull Nandi. Cribb SI 19 #20 (Bactrian issues) Gobl
Kushan 1105-1108 type  Mitchiner ACW 1278. Very fine to extremely
fine Nice greenish earthen patina. Choice.
 
 
Note:
The Kushano-sasanians were sasanian princes ruling
the old kushan lands in Bactria the Kabul valley and Gandhara as
sasanian vasalls. Some periods these kushan-shahs were more or less
independent like this ruler Hormazd I Kushanshah ruling about AD
295-325 (or 270-295 according to Cribb). Mint for this type might be the
Kabul valley.
